A colossus of Indian football, Sunil Chhetri is India’s all-time top-scorer. He made his Hero ISL debut for Mumbai City FC in 2015, however, it is with Bengaluru FC that he has made a telling impact. Chhetri scored 14 goals in the 2017-18 season for the Blues -- the most by an Indian in a single season of the Hero ISL -- and won the ‘Hero of the League’ award as well as the ‘AIFF Player of the Year’ in 2017. He led the team to the Hero ISL trophy in 2018-19 and was also the top scorer for the Blues during the 2019-20 season, with nine goals to his name. By his high standards, he had a below-par season in 2020-21 and the Blues failed to reach the semis.
