PM Modi to witness women's football match in Katra on April 19

New Delhi, April 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will witness a women's football match during his visit to Katra in Jammu and Kashmir where he will inaugurate a super speciality hospital and sports complex.

The prime minister will dedicate Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital at Kakrya near Katra besides the sports complex on the occasion.

Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra, chairman of Shrine Board and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti besides the chairman of Narayana Hrudyalaya, Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, will also be present.

Jammu and Kashmir Football Association chief and the joint secretary of the Kashmir wing of the JK Sports Council, Zameer Thakur said the women's football teams of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh will reach Katra on April 18 and will play the friendly match in the presence of the PM.

The aim is to encourage women's football in the state. The PM has in the past stressed improvement of football and the latest move has been made in tune with that.
