Pogba is a Juventus player: Massimiliano Allegri

Turin, July 23: Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri strongly suggested that French midfielder Paul Pogba is still a Juventus player and he is confident he'll stay.

The 23-year-old midfielder is strongly linked with a move to English Premier League giants Manchester United and it is being reported that he might move to Old Trafford for a world record transfer fee.

Reigning Serie A champions Juventus have already signed Danil Alves, Miralem Pjanic and Marko Pjaca so far this season. Pogba's departure will certainly hurt the team but considering the money they will cash in, Juventus can make some more quality additions.

Addressing the media, Massimiliano Allegri said: "Right now he's still a Juventus player.

"We don't know what will happen in the course of the next week, but we're confident.

"At the end of the transfer window we'll have a very strong team. Dani Alves, [Medhi] Benatia, [Miralem] Pjanic and [Marko] Pjaca have come in.

"When the window closes the team will be very strong."

He further added: "When we return to Turin I'll have all the big names available. The club is working well on the transfer market and I'm calm in working with the team that I have to prepare for the League, which starts on August 21.

"Pogba? At the moment he's a Juventus player, but as I say the transfer window is open and the club are vigilant.

"The fact is the club has bought four key players to improve the team in Pjanic, Dani Alves, Pjaca and Benatia.

"I'm sure on August 31 we'll have a competitive team in Italy and in Europe."
