Pondy Football Assn to host Fed Cup qualifiers

Puducherry, Sep 22 (UNI) The Puducherry Football Association would host the qualifying round matches of the 30th Federation Cup Football Championships here from tomorrow.

Addressing the press here today,Association Secretary Balasubramanian, President Selvakanthi and Match Commissioner Gokul Das Navrer said league champion clubs from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Karnataka would figure in the qualifying matches here which would be played on a knock-out basis.

The winner and runner-up would qualify for the second round which would be played later.

Sathyabhama University,Puducherry would meet Integral Coach Factory, Chennai (Tamil Nadu) in the inagural match tomorrow.

Titanium, Kerala will clash with Bharath Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) Bangalore in the second match on September 24 and the finals would be played on September 26.
