Premier League: Three best left backs in 2022-23 season

The 2022-23 Premier League season has finally come to an end. It has been a season to remember as Manchester City secured a hat-trick of Premier League titles.

Arsenal did really well to take the title race to the latter stages of the season but could not overcome the final hurdle. Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea all had seasons to forget while we saw Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton facing the drop.

Here, we will take a look at the three best left-backs in the Premier League this season.

Dan Burn - Newcastle United

Newcastle United enjoyed a fantastic season under the tutelage of Eddie Howe as they secured the fourth spot and Dan Burn has done a wonderful job for the Magpies. Burn has played mostly at left-back this season while appearing occasionally at centre-back as well. The 31-year-old has two goals to his name this season in 44 games across competitions.

Oleksandr Zinchenko - Arsenal

Oleksandr Zinchenko joined Arsenal from Manchester City last summer and made a solid impact at the Emirates. The Ukraine international has been a key part of Mikel Arteta's side who did well to keep the title challenge alive until the last few games. Zinchenko has scored one goal and produced two assists in 33 games across competitions this season.

Pervis Estupinan has been somewhat a surprise package for Brighton this season as the Seagulls had a fantastic season. Roberto De Zerbi's side secured a sixth-placed finish this season and will be playing Europa League next campaign and Estupinan has played a key role behind that. The Ecuador international has one goal and eight assists to his name this season for Brighton in 41 appearances across competitions.
