Premier League to close window before 2018-19 season starts

The Premier League has announced changes to the closure of its transfer window, which will shut at 17:00 on the Thursday before the 2018-19 season.

European football's governing body had also backed the new radical proposal to shorten the transfer window so that it closes before the start of a new season.

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger was one of the proponents of this idea and it was endorsed by UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin.
