Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will present a tougher challenge for Arsenal in the upcoming Champions League semi-final, according to PSG's head coach, Luis Enrique. The two teams have already faced each other earlier this season during the league phase. On Tuesday, PSG will visit the Emirates Stadium for the first leg of their tie. In October, Arsenal secured a 2-0 win with goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.
Since that match, PSG have achieved significant milestones. They clinched their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title, reached the Coupe de France final, and eliminated both Liverpool and Aston Villa from the Champions League. Luis Enrique expressed confidence in his team's progress during a pre-match press conference. "That was seven or eight months ago. I saw the match again. We're a much better team today," he stated.

Enrique highlighted that PSG had a challenging group phase with many intense matches that could have been finals themselves. He believes these experiences have strengthened and completed his team. "These are Champions League semi-finals, but they're still two games between two teams with the same goal," he noted. Managing pressure will be crucial in these encounters.
Arsenal enters this match following a 5-1 aggregate victory over Real Madrid in the quarter-finals and remains unbeaten at home in European competitions. Both teams share the ambition of winning their first-ever Champions League title, making this encounter even more significant.
"They're one of the best teams in Europe and they've been doing a remarkable job with their coach for several years now," Enrique said about Arsenal. He acknowledged that both teams deserve to be in this position. While some may prefer Paris or Arsenal, he emphasised his preference for his own team.
The quest for history is evident as both clubs aim to secure their maiden Champions League trophy. Despite acknowledging the difficulty of this objective, Enrique stressed that there is no pressure on PSG; instead, they are driven by ambition. "When we say we want to make history, we're talking about doing something that nobody has done before us," he added.
Enrique also mentioned that while PSG sometimes lack brilliance, they remain confident and focused on performing at their best level without being hindered by past failures to win the Champions League.
