PSG star Kylian Mbappe took legal action against kebab shop owner, here's why

In a surprising turn of events, Paris Saint Germain's Kylian Mbappe has reportedly taken legal action against a popular kebab shop owner Mohamed Henni in France.

Kylian Mbappe who is currently in the news for his potential move to Real Madrid next summer is suing a kebab shop owner for using his name in the description of one of his sandwiches.

Mohamed Henni, a Marseille-based influencer well-known in the French football community, owns a kebab shop where he has humorously described one of his kebabs as having "bakery bread, as round as Mbappe's head." However, this light-hearted gesture seems to have landed him in legal trouble.

Henni disclosed that he has received a legal notice from Mbappe's legal team, represented by Delphine Verheyden on behalf of KMA, the company handling the player's sponsors, merchandise, and image rights.

The notice demands that Henni rename the kebab named after Mbappe or face further legal action. While other footballers like ex-West Ham winger Dimitri Payet have had food items named after them without any issue, Mbappe failed to see the humour in the situation.

The letter sent to Henni orders him to remove Mbappe's name from his menu within eight days or face potential court proceedings for using his name without consent for commercial purposes.

Reacting to Mbappe's actions, Henni expressed his shock on his Instagram account, stating, "I’m stunned a player of this level has the time to think about me. He is using his time and money to attack me. I am not hurting anyone. I am a humourist. Are you not embarrassed? Launching a legal complaint for absolutely nothing?"

As the saga unfolds, Mbappe's future on the pitch remains uncertain, with talks of a potential move to Real Madrid intensifying. It is understood that a deal has been agreed upon, with only some image rights remaining to be resolved.

However, amidst the transfer speculation, Mbappe's legal actions against the kebab shop owner have brought his name to the headlines, for a different reason.
