PSG secured a thrilling win over Nantes to go 11 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table on a historic night for them.

PSG won the match 4-2 against Nantes. Lionel Messi opened the scoring for them while a Japuen Hadjam own goal meant the hosts were leading 2-0 after 17 minutes. But Ludovic Blas and Ignatius Ganago scored two goals before half time for Nantes to restore parity in the match. Danilo Pereira gave PSG the lead on the hour mark, while Kylian Mbappe scored an injury-time goal to complete the scoreline.

French striker Kylian Mbappe made history on the night by becoming the highest goal-scorer for PSG after scoring his 201st goal for the French club. He surpassed Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani, who netted 200 times for the French giants during his seven-year-long stay at the club.

Mbappe extends goal tally in Ligue 1:

The Frenchman's goal against Nantes means he has 18 league goals so far this season, which extends his lead as the top goal-scorer in Ligue 1 by two goals. Mbappe is followed by Liile striker Jonathan David (16), AS Monaco's Wissam Ben Yedder (16) and Reims striker Folarin Balogun (15).

Lionel Messi currently tops the assist chart in Ligue 1. The Argentine legend has 12 assists to his name so far, along with his 13 goals. Messi also sits at the summit of G+A (Goals + Assists) tally with 25.

The PSG trio of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe have created the most number of big chances in the league so far. Messi has created 21 big chances, while Neymar and Mbappe have decorated 15 and 13 big chances respectively.
