Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique emphasised the need for positivity as his team prepares to resume domestic play following their recent Champions League loss to Bayern Munich. PSG suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the Allianz Arena, leaving them in 25th place in the new 36-team standings, four points shy of the play-off spots. Despite this setback, Enrique urged his players to focus on maintaining their strong form in Ligue 1.
This season has been challenging for PSG in the Champions League, with three losses out of five matches (W1 D1). This marks their most defeats in a single group stage since the 2004-05 campaign when they last failed to advance to the knockout stages. However, Enrique remains optimistic about their performance against Bayern, noting that they played against a strong contender for the final.

"We applied the same pressure as usual," Enrique stated. "I tried to change things. I haven't seen a team that has troubled them more than us this season." He expressed confidence in his team's ability and highlighted areas for improvement while maintaining a positive outlook.
In Ligue 1, PSG currently leads the standings with 32 points from 12 games. This is the sixth time they have achieved such a tally at this stage of a top-flight campaign. Their impressive record against Nantes, scoring in each of their last 26 meetings (64 goals total), boosts their confidence ahead of Saturday's match.
Despite Nantes sitting 16th in the table with only 10 points, Enrique acknowledged their performances deserve more recognition. "Nantes have fewer points than they deserve," he noted. "They're coming into the game on a run of four league defeats, but I'm expecting a tough game."
Enrique stressed the importance of continuing to accumulate victories and developing good habits as they look forward to future Champions League fixtures. He remains confident that PSG will return to winning ways given their historical success against Nantes.
As PSG prepares for their upcoming match against Nantes, Luis Enrique's focus is on staying positive and building momentum in Ligue 1. Despite recent challenges in Europe, he believes his team can continue their strong domestic performance and improve further as they aim for success both domestically and internationally.
