Paris, September 6: Paris Saint-Germain's President Nasser Al Khelaifi said his club carried out its record summer transfers in complete transparency and "has nothing to hide".
Europe's governing soccer body, UEFA, earlier this month placed PSG under investigation to see if their spending spree had broken financial fair-play (FFP) rules.
FFP rules ban clubs from spending more than their generated revenue, a policy introduced to prevent rich owners from trying to buy success and distorting the transfer market.
"The club is surprised by such a decision since it constantly kept UEFA's financial Fair Play teams informed of the impact of all the player transfers carried out this summer despite not being obliged to do so," PSG had then said about the UEFA probe.
There was demand from La Liga to initiate a similar probe against Manchester City too, but it was turned down by UEFA
"We're very confident in our position, in our recruitment," Al Khelaifi told media at a press conference to present Kylian Mbappe after his 180 million euro (£164.60 million) transfer from Monaco.
"We are very confident. UEFA can do as it wants, nothing is hidden," he said. "We welcome UEFA in our offices with great pleasure. We are very transparent.
"The most important thing is to work for our project, for the club. We respect all the regulations. If some clubs are not happy, that's not our problem.
The 18-year-old striker, who helped Leonardo Jardim's team to win the domestic league title and reach the semifinals of the Champions League last season has joined the French giants on loan.
"We paid everything in a transparent way. We have nothing to hide," the Qatari owner added.
"The objective today is to present Kylian. I do not want to go into the details of financial fair play, I do not want to explain how we're going to get money back, how we want to sell."

PSG shattered the world transfer record to sign Neymar from Barcelona for €222m and they now have the distinction of making the two biggest signings in history within the space of a month.
Mbappe could be partnered with PSG's world-record signing Neymar in attack away to Metz on Friday.
