Paris Saint-Germain's head coach, Luis Enrique, believes their 3-1 victory over Lille will be beneficial as they aim for Champions League success. The team has scored 13 goals in their first three Ligue 1 matches, maintaining a perfect start to the season.
Vitinha's penalty and Bradley Barcola's goal gave PSG an early lead against Lille. Randal Kolo Muani sealed the win with a late goal after Edon Zhegrova had reduced the deficit. This win places PSG two points ahead of Marseille at the top of the table as they head into the international break.

The Champions League draw has been challenging for PSG, with fixtures against Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid. They begin their campaign against Girona on September 18. Enrique is optimistic that the Lille match was a valuable test for his squad.
"It was an away game against a team who play in the Champions League, who have already played several games and have a very different rhythm to us," Luis Enrique said. "It was a very good test for us, it was a Champions League match for us. I'm pretty happy with the team's performance."
The revamped Champions League format now includes 36 teams, each playing eight fixtures in the first round. PSG will face Brest after the international break, four days before starting their European journey.
"There's the match against Brest after the break and that will have nothing to do with the Champions League and its new format," Enrique stated. "I can't know what that will be like. My team is showing signs of confidence but we still lack physical rhythm in several of our players. The Champions League is very different and full of new things."
Enrique remains focused on improving his team's performance and adapting to the challenges ahead. The upcoming matches will be crucial in determining PSG's readiness for their quest for European glory.
