PSG want Chelsea attacker Morata in the summer

Bengaluru, February 6: Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has reportedly emerged as a shock target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The Spanish striker only joined Chelsea from Real Madrid last summer and has had an up and down start to his Chelsea career.

Despite a very bright start to his Chelsea career, the Spaniard has struggled big time off late and has been criticized by the fans and the media.

It is a bit surprising to see French giants like Paris Saint-Germain, who are set to be looking for world-class additions to their squad on every opportunity, but reports in France claim that they are looking at misfiring Morata.

The attacking ranks at the Parc des Princes is already well stocked. Edinson Cavani recently became the club's all-time top goalscorer surpassing Zlatn Ibrahimovic but the French giants hardly have any competition for the Uruguayan.

They would suffer a massive blow if Cavani goes down with injury or if he gets suspended.

Morata has a reputation of being to able to make a difference from the bench since his Juventus and Real Madrid days and PSG want him to do the same again.

Paris United claim that PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has identified Morata as one of his main summer targets.

No fee has been mentioned, but it would take a huge offer to tempt Chelsea into selling considering they splashed out £60m for the star just six months ago.has bagged Morata has scored 13 times for club and country in 32 appearances this campaign.

But, the goals have dried up in recent months as the ace also suffered with a number of injury woes.

His last goal came in the 2-0 triumph over Brighton on Boxing Day.

It is also reported that Roma frontman Patrik Schick is another man on PSG's wanted list.
