PSV Eindhoven's head coach, Peter Bosz, is determined to improve the team's performance following three consecutive losses. The latest setback was a heavy 7-1 defeat to Arsenal in the Champions League. This marked the first time a Dutch club conceded seven goals in a European match. Prior to this, PSV lost to Go Ahead Eagles twice, once in the Dutch Cup semi-final and then in the league, widening the gap with Ajax in the Eredivisie title race.
Bosz remains optimistic despite these setbacks. "Of course I will get things back on track," he stated after the Arsenal match at Philips Stadion. He emphasised teamwork, saying, "We have to do it together, together we can get through it again." PSV had previously shown resilience by defeating Juventus and Feyenoord in earlier matches.

The loss against Arsenal was particularly significant as it ended PSV's 56-match unbeaten home record. Bosz acknowledged the difficulty of facing such a strong opponent during a challenging period for his team. "It was painful. Humiliating. We had no chance," he admitted. He stressed that improving their defensive play is crucial after analysing the goals conceded.
Despite Arsenal's dominant performance, Bosz identified key moments that might have changed the game's outcome. "There were two moments that could have affected the outcome," he noted. At 0-0, PSV hit the crossbar, and there was a potential second yellow card for Arsenal that wasn't given.
Looking ahead, PSV will host Heerenveen in their next Dutch league match on Saturday before travelling to London for the return leg against Arsenal next Wednesday. Bosz hopes his team can regroup and perform better in these upcoming fixtures.
The coach remains hopeful about turning things around by drawing on past successes against strong teams like Juventus and Feyenoord. His focus is on collective effort and improving defensive strategies to overcome current challenges and regain momentum in both domestic and European competitions.
