Guwahati, May 21 (UNI) Punjab completed the line-up for semi-finals of the under 21 National Football tournament, underway here, despite losing to group champion Goa in a league match today.
Goa, West Bengal and Asom had already qualified for the semi-final.
Services managed to defeat Mizoram 2-1 in the other group B match of the day, but failed to register a semi-final berth.
Services established one goal lead in the first half, when G.
Kabui found the goalpost for the team in the 28th minute. Robert L.
Juala scored the second goal for Services in the 65th minute.
Though Mizoram tried to bounce back into the match with Ziko Joren Sangi's 82th minute goal, the effort could not carry it to victory.
In the other match, Goa drubbed Punjab 2-0 and maintained an undefeated record in the group stage.
Both the goals for the team came late in the second half. Gabriel Fernandez scored the first goal for Goa in the 74th minute, while the second came from M.Gonzales in the form of a penalty in the dying minutes of the match.
In tomorrow's group A matches, West Bengal will take on Asom and Kerela will play Delhi.
