Punjab FC Sign Brazilian Forward Diego Raposo Ahead of ISL 2026-27 Season
Punjab FC have announced the signing of Brazilian forward Diego Henrique Oliveira Raposo ahead of the 2026-27 season. The 29-year-old left-footed attacker has signed a contract with the club until May 31, 2027.
Raposo joins Punjab FC after his most recent stint with Bulgarian top-flight side FC Lokomotiv Sofia, where he made 19 league appearances. His arrival adds further attacking depth to the Punjab-based club as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.

Born in Santos, Brazil, Raposo began his professional career in Portugal with R.D. Águeda. He subsequently represented several Portuguese clubs, including FC Felgueiras, S.C. Beira-Mar and S.C.U. Torreense, gaining experience across the country's footballing system.
The forward moved to Bulgaria in the 2023-24 season, joining FC Krumovgrad. He spent two seasons with the club before moving to the UAE, where he represented Al-Dhafra FC in the UAE Pro League for a season.
Raposo then returned to Bulgaria to join Lokomotiv Sofia, making 19 league appearances before completing his move to Punjab FC.
He is the club's fourth foreign signing ahead of the 2026-27 season, following Alfred Planas Moya, Jephthe Patrick Gerard Bahanack and Raphaël Messi Bouli. His versatility and experience across European and Middle Eastern leagues will add another option to Punjab FC's squad.
"I am very excited to begin this new chapter with Punjab FC and to experience Indian football for the first time. Punjab FC is an ambitious club with a clear vision, and I am eager to contribute with my experience, energy and goals. I cannot wait to meet my teammates, work with the coaching staff and, most importantly, step onto the pitch and give my best for the club and its supporters," the new player said after joining the club.
The upcoming Indian Super League season is set to commence from October 10, with 13 teams ready to feature in the top flight competition.
