Speaking about the match against FC Goa, Dilmperis said, "FC Goa is a very good team with a clear plan and strong players. Our target is to continue the defensive performance from the previous games, limit their chances near our box, and improve our finishing so we can score goals."

Interestingly, the Gaurs have never lost a match against the Shers so fast in the Indian Super League (ISL) and will hope to maintain that record, while Punjab FC will be looking for its first win in the fixture. In four previous meetings, FC Goa has won three matches, while one ended in a draw. In the previous meeting in New Delhi last season, FC Goa edged the host by a goal.
