Punjab, Goa move into men''s football semis

Ranchi, Feb 20 (PTI) Punjab and Goa today moved into themen''s football semifinals from group B in the 34th NationalGames here today.

Punjab defeated Delhi 2-1 with Gurpreet and Onkar scoringfor the winners. Vikas Raval pulled one back for Delhi in theinjury time.

Though held to a draw by Jharkhand, Goa entered the lastfour stage with one win and two draws while the hosts bowedout as they played three straight draw matches.

Goa''s Diogo and Jharkhand''s Alvin George were the scorersin their 1-1 draw.

West Bengal, who will play their last Group A matchagainst Services tomorrow, are one of the favourites to enterthe last four stage.

Both the semifinals are scheduled on February 23 and thefinals on February 25.
