East Bengal FC have announced that rising star Vishnu PV has signed a two-year contract extension, committing his future to the club until the end of the 2027-28 season.
The Kerala-born forward joined the Red & Gold Brigade in mid-2023 on a three-year deal and has now reaffirmed his allegiance with the club that has become his footballing home.

Over the past two seasons, Vishnu has steadily established himself as a crucial player for East Bengal. In the Indian Super League 2024-25 season, he was the club’s joint-top scorer with four goals in 22 appearances. His impressive stats include 3 assists, 38 successful dribbles and 115 successful duels over 1,459 minutes of play. His standout performances in December 2024 earned him the ISL Emerging Player of the Month award.
Beyond the ISL, Vishnu has also made valuable contributions to the club’s Calcutta Football League campaigns, scoring 11 goals over two seasons. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in the club’s journey to the final of the Reliance Foundation Development League 2024, which helped East Bengal qualify for the prestigious Next Gen Cup in England. Notably, he also holds the record for the fastest goal scored by an East Bengal player in the ISL, just 33 seconds into the match against Odisha FC in the 2023-24 season.
Emami East Bengal FC’s Head Coach, Oscar Bruzon, emphasized the importance of securing Vishnu’s services, “Vishnu has become an important asset to the club, hence his extension was a top priority for us. He has limitless potential, fearless dribbling skills and match-winning impact. If he continues to work hard and develop at such a rapid pace, he can become one of the best wingers in the country.”
Head of Football, Mr. Thangboi Singto, added, “Vishnu’s extension is a reward for his good performance in East Bengal colours. Consistency, perseverance, willingness to improve, professionalism and humility are the traits we want to inculcate in all our young players. We wish Vishnu all the best as we believe it’s just the start for him to reach his true potential.”
Expressing his gratitude and ambition, Vishnu said, “East Bengal has nurtured my growth and continuously supported me to become a better player. I am grateful to the Emami East Bengal FC management and the passionate fans for always believing in me. This club has made me what I am today and I am determined to bring East Bengal as much success as possible.”
