Sergio Conceicao has expressed strong support for Rafael Leao, predicting that he could become the world's best. Leao's performance off the bench was pivotal in AC Milan's Supercoppa Italiana victory. Coming on early in the second half, he assisted Tammy Abraham's decisive goal in their 3-2 win over Inter Milan.
Leao also played a crucial role in winning the free-kick that led to Theo Hernandez's stunning 20-yard goal. Additionally, he contributed to Christian Pulisic's equaliser. Despite not being fully fit, Leao managed to create two chances and achieved an impressive passing accuracy of 88.9% in the final third among players with more than three passes.

Conceicao praised Leao's abilities, stating, "Leao is phenomenal. I've known him for a long time. He is Portuguese like me, but he is more relaxed Portuguese, and I am more tense." Conceicao believes that with some improvements, Leao can reach the pinnacle of football excellence.
This victory marked AC Milan's eighth Supercoppa Italiana title, equalling Inter Milan's record. It also represented back-to-back wins over their rivals for the first time since a streak from November 2010 to August 2011. The triumph highlighted Milan's resurgence in Italian football.
Conceicao emphasised Leao's potential by saying, "He needs to learn a few things, and then I believe he can become the best player in the world." He added that if Leao channels his individual talent for team success, his growth will be remarkable.
The coach has no doubts about Leao's future potential: "I have no doubts he can become the best in the world next season if he learns those things." This confidence underscores the high expectations placed on Leao as he continues to develop his game.
