The makers of Ramayana are gearing up for an ambitious global rollout, with the next phase of promotions for the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer set to begin soon. Following a strong reception at CinemaCon, the film is now eyeing a larger international stage, with plans to present it at San Diego Comic-Con, one of the world's biggest pop culture gatherings.
The film's presence at Comic-Con, scheduled from July 23 to 26 in San Diego, signals the makers' intent to position Ramayana alongside Hollywood's biggest franchises. Reports suggest that select footage, possibly the trailer or key scenes, will be showcased at the event, where it will share space with high-profile titles like Avengers: Doomsday and Dune 3.

Producer Namit Malhotra and actor Yash had earlier presented the film at CinemaCon in the United States, where it received encouraging feedback. That response appears to have emboldened the team to expand its promotional footprint further into global arenas.
Trailer Buzz and Bigger Visuals
According to a report from Lallantop, the Comic-Con could also serve as the launchpad for the film's first official trailer or even Yash's much-anticipated first look. The makers are reportedly planning a масштабed presentation featuring upgraded VFX, offering a significant leap from the initial teaser that introduced Ranbir Kapoor's look.
There are also indications that the trailer may be attached to screenings of The Odyssey in US theatres, potentially amplifying its reach among international audiences.

In a move that underscores its global ambitions, Ramayana is also expected to feature during the FIFA World Cup 2026. The tournament, set to take place from June 11 to July 19 across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, could provide a massive platform for the film's promotion.
According to reports, short promotional clips of 15-30 seconds may be aired on leading Middle Eastern broadcasting channels during match coverage. These snippets are likely to be strategically placed during games involving nations such as Iran, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia, regions with a strong viewership base and a significant Indian diaspora.
While the makers have not officially confirmed this plan, the strategy reflects a clear attempt to tap into a broader, global audience beyond traditional markets.
Release Plans & What Lies Ahead?
Ramayana: Part 1 has already wrapped filming, with work currently underway on the second installment at Mumbai's Prime Focus Studios. Though the film was initially slated for a Diwali 2026 release, fresh reports suggest a slight shift in strategy.
Instead of November 6, the makers are now reportedly targeting an October 30 release, aiming to capitalize on the extended festive window. Interestingly, Yash had also hinted at this revised date during his Comic-Con appearance.
