Raphinha Latest Injury Update: Is Brazil Star Ruled Out of World Cup 2026?
Brazilian winger Raphinha was forced off in the first half of his country's 3-0 victory against Haiti in the FIFA World Cup 2026 group stage after sustaining a right hamstring injury.
The Barcelona forward left the pitch in Philadelphia around the 40th minute, visibly in discomfort following treatment on the field.

According to an official statement from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Raphinha felt pain in the posterior muscle of his right thigh during the first half. The player has already begun treatment and will be re-evaluated, with further updates expected soon. Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed post-match that the team would assess the injury the following day, noting they did not yet have a full picture of the issue.
World Cup 2026: Raphina Latest Injury Update
Subsequent tests carried out by Brazil's medical staff have confirmed a muscle injury in Raphinha's right thigh. The 29-year-old will remain with the national squad and undergo intensive treatment in an effort to recover for the knockout stages of the tournament. However, he is expected to miss Brazil's next group match against Scotland.
This latest setback comes amid concerns over recurring issues in the same area, following a previous right hamstring injury earlier in 2026 that kept him out for several weeks. Teammate Vinicius Junior expressed sadness and highlighted Raphinha's importance to the team.
The Barcelona player is a key part of the squad and him being ruled out for the entire World Cup is a big blow. If the injury is serious, Raphinha may well be ruled out for the remainder, which is not ideal for Carlo Ancelotti and his team.
