Real Betis vs Sevilla: Youssef En-Nesyri stoppage-time winner seals El Gran Derbi for Sevillistas

Gudalajara (Mexico), August 3: Youssef En-Nesyri netted a late-winner as Sevilla beat Real Betis 1-0 at the Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico on Wednesday (August 2) to seal the first El Gran Derbi of the season, which took place as part of a preseason tournament - La Liga EA Sports Summer Tour 2023.

En-Nesyri volleyed a cross from Fernando to score the deciding goal in the second minute of stoppage time to break Real Betis hearts in the first ever El Gran Derbi that was staged on foreign soil.

For decades Real Betis vs Sevilla has been one of the fiercest derbies in La Liga and world football, and has now been taken to the next level after the fixture was played outside of Spain for the first time ever. And it didn't disappoint one bit thanks to an injury-time winner.

En-Nesyri's late goal meant Sevilla head into the next match of the La Liga Summer Tour 2023 on a winning note. The La Liga EA Sports Summer Tour 2023 also features Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid, who faced off in a stalemate at the Estadio BBVA in Guadalupe, Mexico.

The tour will culminate in a double-header at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California on Saturday, August 5th where Atletico de Madrid will play against Sevilla, and Real Betis will play against Real Sociedad.
