Racism, Hatred words on social media have become more of a normal incident in European football at the moment. Spanish football has often been a centre of utter social barbarism where players have been mocked and abused for their ethnicity, skin colour. And to stop that, LaLiga is set to launch a new programme.
Spanish football's top tier LaLiga has been working desperately to eradicate this massive hole in their system, and now, they are set to introduce a device named MOOD, which will be implemented in the quest for social cleansing among Spanish fans and supporters.

LaLiga announced on Wednesday (September 27) that they are set to launch M.O.O.D (Monitor para la Observación del Odio en el Deporte - Monitor for the Observation of Hate in Sport), an independent tool for tracking the conversation about sport in Spain on social media.
Together with Sentesis and GroupM, this new project is part of LALIGA VS Racism, and is a further step towards detecting and eradicating discrimination in football and society.
MOOD provides a weekly report that audits the level of hate and racism that takes place on social media and is related to LALIGA. It's an external tool that will monitor all the platforms and display the metrics recorded on each day.
The system will range the level of hatred from a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being the lowest level of detected foul words or interactions. It will also determine the number of personnel involved in hatred interactions and the quantity of messages shared in a conversation which include allegedly abusive, racist and hateful words.

Oscar Mayo, Executive Director of LaLiga, stressed: "We at LaLiga are committed to measuring hate speech related to sport on social media. It's another step in our fight to end racism, as we need to know exactly what is being said so we can take action and help tackle hatred both inside and outside of football".
LaLiga's digital platforms will prominently showcase a weekly analysis through brief video reports, an initiative designed to enhance societal consciousness by documenting instances of racism and discrimination.
The project is driven by a diverse, interdisciplinary ensemble from LaLiga comprised of professionals from various fields such as branding, marketing, communications, etc. who will faithfully evaluate each scenario individually and determine appropriate actions.
