Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio is in hot waters and can be prosecuted for allegedly sharing sex tape of a minor.
Asencio, along with former youth teammates Ferran Ruiz, Juan Rodríguez, and Andres Garcia, has been formally indicted by a Spanish court for alleged involvement in the unauthorized recording and distribution of explicit videos involving two women, one of whom was underage at the time of the incident.

The events are reported to have occurred on June 15, 2023, at a beach club in Mogan, Gran Canaria. While Asencio did not participate in the sexual acts or the initial recording, he allegedly requested and received the video from a teammate and subsequently showed it to a friend, leading to charges related to the distribution of child pornography.
During the time when the case originally emerged, Real Madrid acknowledged the incident and admitted they would take action upon the conclusion of the judicial proceedings.
"A Castilla player and three Real Madrid C players" had made statements to the Guardia Civil "relating to a complaint about the alleged broadcasting of a private video via WhatsApp. When the club has detailed knowledge of the facts, we will take the appropriate measures," a statement from Real Madrid was quoted by The Athletic.
The court statement, which was released on Wednesday, wrote that the incident "qualifies (the players') actions as allegedly constitutive of crimes of discovery of secrets without consent and violation of privacy (article 197.1 of the Penal Code), of distribution and sending to third parties of the videos without warning the victims or their consent (article 197.3) and of recruitment or use of minors for pornographic purposes and possession of the videos without their consent (article 197.4) and of possession of the videos without the consent of the victims (article 197.4)" - as it was translated from Spanish by The Athletic.
The court has concluded the investigation phase, and the case now proceeds to the Public Prosecutor's Office, which will decide whether to press formal charges and initiate a trial.
The defender played in Wednesday's match for Los Blancos, which they won 2-1 against Mallorca, to keep the La Liga hopes alive. Asencio has been a pivotal part of the Real Madrid squad this season having made 41 appearances across all competitions this season.
