Real Madrid plotting £80million move for Manchester United’s Anthony Martial

London, Nov 27: Real Madrid are preparing up a massive £80m swoop for Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial in next Summer, with the La Liga holders eager to strengthen up their attacking reinforcement further, according to reports.

Madrid reportedly earlier this season tried for French and Monaco wonder-kid Kylian Mbappe to bring him to the Spanish capital, however, eventually lost out to Paris St- Germain. And now many sources in Spain have reported that the Madrid giants have chosen Martial as his replacement and are ready to splurge around £80m for him.

Madrid's strikers have failed to score goals continuously this season so far with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema both got only their second goals in the total 13 league matches this season.

Both of them helped to guide past Madrid in their last league match against Malaga where they won 3-2 in an exciting match. But with Ronaldo, 32 and Benzema, 29 ageing it looks prominent that Madrid needs another young frontman in their ranks who can lead the attacking line-up.

And the Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane reportedly believes the 21-year-old Frenchman Martial can be a solution to their goal scoring problems and will fit flawlessly into his idea for the future at The Bernabeu.

On the other hand, much has been made of Martial and Mourinho's relationship since the Portuguese assumed control at Manchester United a year ago.

After a fine debut season under Louis van Gaal, Martial struggled to replicate the same form under Mourinho and often faced the backlash from the manager for shaky display.

The France attacker only managed to score eight goals last season and was often been overlooked for youngster Marcus Rashford in the starting role.

However, this season the 21-year-old seemed to have again found his form. The former Monaco man this season only started in eleven matches so far, however, in the limited start has scored seven times and helped in five goals as well.

But as per reports, the youngster is happy at being Theatre of Dreams though if an offer from clubs like Real Madrid comes, it can be hard to resist.
