Real Madrid ponder move for Manchester United star Martial

Bengaluru, February 25: Manchester United star winger Anthony Martial is a summer transfer target for Real Madrid, according to reports.

It was reported earlier this month that Jose Mourinho was set to meet with the 22-year-old to assure him of his place in the Red Devils side.

But nearly two weeks later nothing has been resolved, with Spurs also said to be monitoring the France striker's situation.

French news outlet RMC Sport say the ex-Lyon and Monaco man is yet to to receive an offer to extend his deal, which ends next summer.

They also claim that Martial is considering his future at the Theatre of Dreams as he feels under-appreciated after falling down the pecking order.

The arrival of Alexis Sanchez has limited his amount of game time, with the winger being benched in three of the last four games.

He had been in-form this season on the left flank but after the arrival of Sanchez, he has seen himself being shifted to the right in the games he played which has frustrated the Frenchman.

Reports go on to add that Martial is also attracting the interest of Premier League rivals Tottenham and Serie A side Inter Milan.

United have the option of extending his contract by a further 12 months, but it is understood that the 2015 Golden Boy winner is weighing up his options as he wants regular playing time and more limelight.

The Frenchman has even reportedly stopped his search of looking for a house in the Manchester area.

Martial has banged in a respectable 11 goals in all competitions this season in 37 games, picking up nine assists, and will be in line to feature against Chelsea on Sunday.

We have to wait and see what future holds for the former European Golden Boy but things do not look too good for Manchester United.
