Bengaluru, February 25: Spanish powerhouse are reportedly ready to pay a hefty £132million for Polish international striker Robert Lewandowski this summer.
Polish newspaper Przeglad Sportowy claims the Bayern Munich striker could be heading to Spain after ditching his long-term agent in favour of transfer guru Pini Zahavi.
The negotiator is believed to have pocketed £30million from his role in Neymar’s world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain.
And Zahavi could be in line to rake in even more cash after apparently making immediate contact with Los Blancos chiefs.
Real Madrid are enduring a poor season domestically and are said to be extremely interested in bringing Lewandowski to the Santiago Bernabeu.
But the 29-year-old is a proven goal machine and could end up costing up to a whopping £132m – although the report adds that Real are more than happy to pay that for his signature.
However, Bayern reportedly have no intention of selling Lewandowski, with Jupps Heynckes firing out a message to clubs keeping tabs on the situation.
When asked if the ace’s decision to change agent was a clear sign of his desire to leave the Allianz Arena, Heynckes said: “That’s your interpretation. I think there’s nothing wrong with a player changing his agent. I can’t judge the reasons.
“It doesn’t mean anything at all for us, given the way I know the officials here at Bayern and what I’ve heard from them.
“Bayern is not a club that sells the top players. Top players at Bayern stay at Bayern. I can’t imagine there’s a chance of him leaving Bayern.”
Karim Benzema has been struggling in front of goal for quite some time now and someone like Lewandowski could change the whole scenario.
