Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos wants to move to Premier League, Liverpool leading the race

London, March 18: Real Madrid young midfielder Dani Ceballos has apparently told club President Florentino Perez that he wants to move to the Premier League just one year after his Bernabeu coming, according to Spanish tale-tellers Diario Gol.

The Los Blancos paid €18million for the midfielder, €3million more than the player's release clause with a six years contract to sign the midfielder in the summer.

The young midfielder caught the eye at the Under-21 European Championship with Spain where he won the player of the tournament despite losing the finals 1-0 against Germany.

The versatile midfielder also enjoyed a superb season in the La Liga last year with Real Betis where he completed the third most take-on and scored twice along with two assists in 30 league appearances.

The player joined the Los Blancos with a lot of hype, however, since his move, the 21-year-old has failed to get a regular shot at the squad and has been behind Kroos, Modric, Casemiro and Isco continuously in the pecking order.

The midfielder has made just two starts in total nine appearances in the league and has played for just 217 minutes. The Spaniard was reportedly already frustrated with lack of opportunity and forced a move out of the club either permanently or on loan in the last window where clubs like Roma, Liverpool showed interest.

However, eventually, nothing materialised and the player had to stay put in Madrid for the time being. but now as per reports, the player now has reached the club President Florentino Perez over his final decision to leave the side in January and apparently has mentioned that if there are offers from Premier League he will be ready to evaluate the offers firstly from there.

The reports also have stated that Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have already contacted with the player and the club over a possible Summer transfer seeing the current situation and talks are also apparently in very advanced stages however it will still require nods from manager Zidane and President Florentino Perez.

Apart from Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham also reportedly are exploring the possibility of bringing the 21-year-old to the Premier League whereas AC Milan and Roma are also putting efforts to secure the player’s transfer to Italy.

Ceballos has played total 19 times for the La Liga side this season and has scored two goals in the process.
