By MyKhel Team

As of December 21, 2023, Real Madrid holds the second position in La Liga, trailing surprise leaders Girona by two points after 17 games. With an impressive record of 13 wins and only one loss, they are gearing up to face Alaves on Thursday.

Rumors suggest that PSG's Kylian Mbappe is nearing a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, while Juventus is reportedly considering a swap deal involving Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos. These developments mark key transfer stories for Real Madrid in the ongoing football season.

Kylian Mbappe Edging Closer To Real Madrid

According to Jose Alvarez from El Chiringuito, the likelihood of Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid is increasing steadily. The French striker, currently in the final year of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, has not yet extended his deal.

Real Madrid has a long-standing interest in Mbappe and is reportedly planning to secure him on a Bosman move next summer. AS reports suggest that Los Blancos will present a proposal to the 24-year-old in January, allowing him a 15-day window to decide on the move.

During a recent discussion, Alvarez disclosed that all signs now point towards Mbappe making a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. Alvarez mentioned that during the Real Madrid-Villarreal match, a close relative of Mbappe was present in the stands at the Santiago Bernabeu, expressing admiration for the "new" stadium.

Though Alvarez did not reveal the exact familial relation, he emphasized spending time with the relative, having coffee and gathering information that increasingly aligns Mbappe with Real Madrid.
While Mbappe has not officially signed any agreement, the continuous flow of information and the apparent proximity of the player to Real Madrid are notable.

The report suggests that Mbappe could serve as an ideal replacement for Karim Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu, marking a potentially significant transfer for Real Madrid.

Juventus Eyeing Dani Ceballos

Juventus has expressed interest in acquiring Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos and is reportedly willing to propose a swap deal involving their forward, Moise Kean, according to Fichajes. Although Ceballos extended his contract with Real Madrid this summer, the 27-year-old has found it challenging to secure a spot in Carlo Ancelotti's lineup.

With just 10 appearances this season, starting twice, Juventus sees an opportunity to bolster their midfield, especially given the suspension of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

Juventus aims to fill their midfield void by targeting Ceballos and is considering a swap deal with Moise Kean, who is eager to leave Turin to revive his career. Kean, an Italian forward, has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid, presenting an opportunity for Los Blancos to strengthen their attacking options.

Juventus is strategically capitalizing on Real Madrid's need for a new striker, aiming to secure Ceballos in the process. The potential swap deal emerges as both clubs look to address their respective squad requirements during the winter transfer window.

Carlo Ancelotti Confirms January Plans

Real Madrid's manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has acknowledged the possibility of making additions to the squad in the January transfer window if the right player becomes available.

The club has faced significant injury setbacks this season, with Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois, and David Alaba suffering ACL injuries. Consequently, Real Madrid is reportedly linked with various players in anticipation of the winter transfer window.

Ancelotti, speaking to the press and cited by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, stated that internal discussions have taken place regarding potential January reinforcements. He emphasized the club's openness to signing quality players who can contribute immediately.

"If there's a chance to sign a good player for Real Madrid and to help for this season, we will make it happen. I can't say no... we spoke internally about the possibility of new signings. We will take our time. No rush. The window will close on January 31. We are thinking about that," Ancelotti explained.

Recent reports suggest that Real Madrid is considering a move for their former player, Raphael Varane, currently with Manchester United, in the upcoming January transfer window, as per SPORT.

The club remains vigilant and strategic in addressing potential reinforcements to navigate the challenges posed by injuries and strengthen the team for the rest of the season.
