The Spanish giants beat Mexican club Pachuca in the Final to lift the inaugural Intercontinental Cup with a commanding 3-0 scoreline at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

Real Madrid dominated the early exchanges of the match and Kylian Mbappe started the scoring for them. In the 37th minute of the match, Mbappe slotted home the goal for Real Madrid. The midfield orchestrated a brilliant move, releasing Vinicius down the left wing.
Moreno delivered a precise ball across the six-yard box to Mbappe, who displayed his striker's instinct with a composed finish. Despite the pass being slightly behind him, Mbappe expertly adjusted, wrapped his foot around the ball, and tapped it into the net.
At the break, it remained 1-0, and then Madrid hit the Mexican club again after the break. In the 53rd minute, Mbappe this time turned provider as Rodrygo doubled Madrid's lead with a picturesque finish from outside the box.
The scoreline was completed with Vinicius Jr, who scored from the spot to make it 3-0 for the Spanish club.
