Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe has scored a superb team goal to give his team the lead in the Intercontinental Cup Final on Wednesday (December 18).
Real Madrid are up against Mexican club Pachuca in the final of the tournament at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar, and Mbappe scored the opening goal for the Spanish club.

In the 37th minute of the match, Mbappe slotted home the goal for Real Madrid. The midfield orchestrated a brilliant move, releasing Vinicius down the left wing. The Brazilian showcased his blistering pace, left his markers behind, and skillfully dribbled past Moreno.
He delivered a precise ball across the six-yard box to Mbappe, who displayed his striker's instinct with a composed finish. Despite the pass being slightly behind him, Mbappe expertly adjusted, wrapped his foot around the ball, and tapped it into the net. With the goal from Mbappe, Los Blancos lead 1-0 at the break in Qatar.
The Frenchman, who has joined the LaLiga giants in the summer, thus netted his 13th goal for the club across all competitions.
Real Madrid have had a bittersweet season so far. They are struggling in the UEFA Champions League but are just a point behind leaders Barcelona in the LaLiga. They can add another illustrious trophy in their cabinet if they beat Pachuca in the inaugural Intercontinental Cup Final.
