But since his move to Germany, the youngster has struggled to keep his form and consequently been linked with a move away from Bayern.

His club career at Munich has been under scrutiny for a long time and the German club have also reportedly listed the Portuguese up for sale or loan as the manager Carlo Ancelotti suggested the player has to move on if he wants to play regularly next season.

In a recent interview with 'Bild', the 19-year-old also confessed that he wants more game time this season and he may have to leave the club this summer to find more playing opportunities.

“I'm not happy about my first year in Munich," Sanches told Bild.

“Of course, I'd like to play more and that's why I would like to move and go somewhere where I have more chance of playing."

European giants AC Milan have been a strong contender for the 19-year-old for a loan deal but recent reports suggest that Europa league winners Manchester United have also joined the race for the Portuguese midfielder.

However, the Euro Winner who is currently with Bayern on their Asian tour played his part in the 3-2 friendly win over Chelsea on Tuesday (July 25) hinted his next preferred destination, insisting a move AC Milan will be exciting.

“Milan is an interesting option. If there was a chance of it happening and the two clubs agree, I would consider it. Right now, I'm in pre-season with Bayern but we'll be back in Munich soon and I hope I can find a solution for my situation."

“I'm young and I really just want to play more. There may be more chance of that happening in Milan than Munich."

It now remains to be seen whether Bayern will be prepared to sell Sanches rather than loan him, but it is sure whoever sign the player will have a power-house on their hands, it will be an exciting opportunity for the teenager as well to show his worth again at the top level.
