On this day, the footballing world celebrates the birthday of Roberto Baggio, one of the most gifted and beloved players in history. Born on February 18, 1967, in Caldogno, Italy, Baggio rose to prominence in the late 1980s and 1990s, dazzling fans with his exquisite dribbling, vision, and unmatched technical ability.

Dubbed Il Divin Codino (The Divine Ponytail), he played with an elegance rarely seen, orchestrating attacks with an almost spiritual touch on the ball. Baggio's journey saw him wear the shirts of Fiorentina, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Bologna, winning league titles and individual accolades along the way. His crowning moment came at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, where he almost single-handedly carried Italy to the final.
