Roma Holds Napoli To A Draw As Angelino Scores Late Equaliser In Serie A Clash

Angelino's late goal denied Napoli the chance to widen their lead in Serie A, as Roma secured a 1-1 draw on Sunday. Napoli aimed to extend their advantage at the top after Inter Milan's earlier draw with AC Milan in the Derby di Milano. Leonardo Spinazzola opened the scoring for Napoli against his former club in the 29th minute. He lofted the ball over Mile Svilar following Juan Jesus' forward pass. After halftime, Leandro Paredes nearly equalised for Roma with a free-kick that narrowly missed Alex Meret's goal.

Napoli appeared set for an eighth consecutive Serie A victory until Angelino struck in stoppage time. Roma advanced down the right flank, and Alexis Saelemaekers delivered a cross to Angelino, who volleyed it into the bottom corner from the penalty area edge. This late goal dashed Napoli's hopes of extending their lead.
