Apart from Ronaldinho, Queens Park Rangers keeper Julio Cesar and the Chelsea trio of Oscar, Ramirez and David Luiz have been included in the squad.
Brazil coach Luis Felipe Scolari announced the team on Tuesday, his first since being reappointed to the lead the team ahead of 2014 World Cup. Scolari led Brazil to its fifth World Cup title at the 2002 competition in South Korea and Japan.
Ronaldinho, two time World Player of the year winner, had been left out of the squad for nearly a year by Mano Menezes, who was sacked in November. But the 32-year old was chosen in the Brasileirao team of the year after incredible form with Atletico Mineiro.
The squad also contains several first-timers, including Bayern Munich defender Dante, Atletico Madrid defender Miranda and Lazio midfielder Hernandes while QPR stopper Juilo Cesar was also recalled. But Real Madrid playmaker Kaka was left out of the squad.
Prior to the World Cup next year, Brazil are gearing up for the summer's Confederations Cup. Already favourites to win both the tournaments, Scolari has a huge task of building a team capable of lifting the title.
