Cristiano Ronaldo Hints At Ending Illustrious Football Career With Al-Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo suggests he may retire at Al-Nassr, marking the end of his trophy-laden career. Despite a challenging Euros, he remains committed to Portugal's national team and dismisses coaching ambitions.

Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that Al-Nassr might be the final club of his illustrious career. After joining the Saudi Pro League in the 2022-23 season following his release from Manchester United, Ronaldo has netted 74 goals in 81 matches across all competitions for Al-Nassr, averaging a goal every 97 minutes.

At 39, Ronaldo remains undecided about retirement but suggested he might end his career at Al-Nassr. He told Portuguese channel NOW: "I don't know if I'll finish soon or in two or three years. But, possibly, it will be at Al-Nassr. It's the team where I'm happy, where I'm good, where I feel good, both in the country and in the league. That's why, most likely I can finish my career at Al-Nassr. I'm very happy to play in the league and I want to continue."

Ronaldo Al-Nassr Likely My Last Club

Despite a challenging Euros where he failed to score in five matches and had the most shots without finding the net, Ronaldo remains committed to representing Portugal. He stated: "When I leave the national team, I won't tell anyone in advance and it will be a very spontaneous decision on my part, but also a very well thought-out one."

Ronaldo expressed his desire to help Portugal in their upcoming fixtures. "Right now what I want is to be able to help the national team in their upcoming matches. We have the Nations League ahead of us and I would really like to play," he said.

Last season, Ronaldo set a new record for most goals scored in a Saudi Pro League season with 35 goals. His impressive performance continues to make headlines as he shows no signs of slowing down.

Coaching Prospects

When asked about a potential coaching career, Ronaldo dismissed the idea. "At the moment, I'm not thinking about being a coach of the first team or any team. It doesn't even cross my mind; I've never thought about it," he explained.

"I don't see my future going through that. I see myself doing other things outside of football, but only God knows what the future holds," Ronaldo added.

Ronaldo's journey with Al-Nassr has been remarkable so far, and fans eagerly await to see how long he will continue playing at this level.
