Cristiano Ronaldo Scores His 14th Goal In Al-Nassr's Victory Over Al-Fateh

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 14th league goal, leading Al-Nassr to a 3-1 victory over bottom-club Al-Fateh. The win elevates Al-Nassr to third place in the Saudi Pro League standings.

Cristiano Ronaldo continued his impressive form by scoring his 14th league goal this season, aiding Al-Nassr in a 3-1 triumph over Al-Fateh. Ronaldo has now netted in all four encounters against Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League, matching his record against Al-Shabab and Al-Wehda. This victory propelled Al-Nassr to third place in the standings.

Al-Nassr took control early on, with Sadio Mane and Ronaldo both coming close to scoring. They eventually took the lead just before halftime when Marwane Saadane inadvertently scored an own-goal. Mohamed Simakan extended their advantage to 2-0 in the 57th minute, heading Angelo's free-kick past Peter Szappanos.

Ronaldo Nets Again in Al-Nassr Win

Despite Al-Fateh reducing the deficit through Mourad Batna after Bento's error, Ronaldo secured the win three minutes from time. He finished a swift counter-attack involving Mane and Angelo from inside the penalty area. Although Ronaldo thought he had added another goal during stoppage time, it was disallowed for offside.

Meanwhile, at King Abdullah Sports City, Ivan Toney shone for Al-Ahli by scoring twice in their commanding 5-0 victory over Al-Riyadh. This performance increased Toney's league goal tally to six for the season. The win kept Al-Ahli in fifth place but allowed them to close the gap on Al-Nassr to just three points.

Al-Ahli started strongly with Riyad Mahrez setting up Toney for a left-footed strike within four minutes. They had to wait until the hour mark for Ziyad Al Johani to double their lead against Milan Borjan. Roberto Firmino then capitalised on Franck Kessie's cross before Toney sealed the result with a penalty after being fouled by Borjan.

The highlight of Al-Ahli's performance came when Mahrez expertly controlled Edouard Mendy's long pass and curled it into the top-right corner. This stunning goal capped off an impressive display by Al-Ahli as they continue to chase down teams ahead of them in the league table.
