Ruben Amorim is urging Marcus Rashford to help Manchester United recover from their recent struggles. The team has lost three of their last four league matches, including a defeat to Bournemouth. They were also eliminated from the EFL Cup by Tottenham. This season, United will spend Christmas in the lower half of the Premier League standings for the first time.
Despite not selecting Rashford in his last three matchday squads, Amorim believes the forward can still be crucial for United. "Some guys have a big responsibility here because they have been here for a long time," Amorim stated. He emphasised the need for players with talent to show performance and responsibility during challenging times.

Rashford debuted in February 2016 and has become one of United's key players since then. Although he has scored only 11 Premier League goals in 48 appearances since last season, his overall contributions are significant. Rashford leads in goal contributions with 147, including 87 goals and 40 assists.
Amorim acknowledges this is one of the club's lowest moments but remains optimistic about overcoming it. "We have to face it and be strong," he said. Rashford scored in Amorim's first game as coach, a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, and netted twice against Everton in a subsequent 4-0 victory.
The team's form has declined since those early successes under Amorim, yet he remains confident about finding solutions. "I know what I am going to do," Amorim expressed. Despite feeling frustrated by current challenges, he is determined to address issues step by step.
Amorim hopes experienced players like Rashford will take on leadership roles to guide the team back on track. His belief in Rashford's potential contribution reflects his commitment to solving problems and improving United's fortunes gradually.
