Bengaluru, February 1: Neymar Junior became the most expensive footballer of all time in the summer when he joined French giants Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for a deal worth £200m.

Who would have thought that the Brazilian wonder boy would be dragged into speculations so early after such a huge move and that too to Real Madrid, the rivals of his former club Barcelona.

Real Madrid have been persistently linked with the PSG superstar even though it is a public knowledge that the move would require an astonishing fee.

Since moving to the French capital, the 25-year-old has been in sensational form having scored 26 times in 24 games, including six in his last two appearances.

However, there are reports that the former Santos man is not fully happy in Ligue 1.

Don Balon have reported that although there is no release clause in his PSG contract, he could leave this summer.

The report suggests that Neymar and his representatives made sure there is an exit clause that would allow him to move to Barcelona's biggest rivals.

And the Catalan club's poster boy Messi is aware of his former team-mate's intentions, and has been trying to stop such a move from happening.

The Argentine wizard has been texting Neymar constantly, telling him not to join Los Blancos. However, it is believed that Neymar is extremely keen on joining Real Madrid.

He is obsessed with becoming the best player in the world, and understands that the way to do it would be at Real Madrid.

With Cristiano Ronaldo declining, Don Balon suggest that to be the best in the world Neymar would have to go face-to-face with Messi in a battle for the best.
