Former Manchester United icon Ruud van Nistelrooy has singled out Cristiano Ronaldo, the star player of Al Nassr, as the greatest teammate he has ever had the privilege to play alongside.

Speaking in an interview, the Dutch football legend acclaimed the 38-year-old Portuguese maestro as his ultimate teammate of all time.

Van Nistelrooy etched his name in Manchester United's history books as one of the most lethal strikers to grace the Old Trafford turf. Arriving from PSV Eindhoven in 2001, he left an indelible mark, amassing 219 appearances for the Red Devils, during which he netted an impressive 150 goals and provided 30 assists.

His tenure at the club was adorned with a Premier League title triumph and an FA Cup victory before departing in 2006.

During his tenure with the Red Devils, he has had the opportunity to share the field with Cristiano Ronaldo for three years who was a youngster back then. As per Van Nistelrooy, the Portuguese superstar was one of his best team-mates ever.

During his illustrious stint at Manchester United, Van Nistelrooy in 92 matches, emerging victorious in 51, securing 21 draws, and collectively contributing to 12 goals which is absolutely remarkable.

The duo not only spent time together in Real Madrid but also reunited in Real Madrid as well although for a brief period. Like Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy too joined the Spanish giants from Manchester United in 2006. Ronaldo joined the Spanish side in 2009 and the pair together played for half a season.

As van Nistelrooy reflects on his glittering career, it's evident that his time alongside Ronaldo stands out as a memorable one. Ruud van Nistelrooy is currently the manager of Dutch side PSV Eindhoven who are leading the league table at the moment.
