Sadio Mane forced to put honeymoon with his newly wed wife Aisha on hold

Liverpool legend Sadio Mane and his wife Aisha Tamba have been forced to put their honeymoon on hold for now.

The former Southampton and Bayern Munich star has been in the news since tying the knot with the 18-year-old. The couple has now made the headlines for another wrong reason.

It has been reported that Sadio Mane and Aisha Tamba will have to put their honeymoon plans on hold because Aisha's parents want her to complete her final school exams first. Mane, 31, married Aisha on January 9 in Dakar, Senegal. The Al-Nassr star wanted to have his honeymoon after the AFCON but will now have to wait.

Sadio Mane's best friend, Moussa Ndiaye described the couple's plans as he told MailOnline (via GOAL).

"Sadio was hoping to have a honeymoon at some point either after the final, if Senegal get there or before, if they are eliminated. But Aisha's family want her to remain focused on her education. She has very important exams coming up and they don't want this marriage getting in the way."

He added, "Even though she is now married to Sadio, who is the most famous man in Senegal, she is still a schoolgirl and needs to complete her studies."

Mane’s AFCON campaign has come to an end in the Round of 16 as Senegal lost 4-5 in on penalties to Ivory Coast following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes. The Liverpool legend played a pivotal role to help Senegal win the last edition of the AFCON but has fallen short this time around.
