Sadio Mane Set To Link Up With Cristiano Ronaldo At Al Nassr

Former Liverpool star forward Sadio Mane is all set to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr as reports emerge that the Senegal striker has completed his medical and is just final paperwork away from completing the transfer.

According to renowned journalist and reports in the German media, Mane, who had moved to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich from Liverpool in 2022, is one step away from changing clubs for the second successive year.

The Senegalese star moved to the German giants for a reported 35 million pounds in the summer of 2022, but failed to show his form from Liverpool despite playing a title-winning season in which he scored just 12 goals in 38 matches.

Now, Mane is all set for a new adventure as his absence from Bayern's squad in the last pre-season match had hinted about a potential exit. He also spoke to one of the journalist to whom he said: "Leaving Bayern hurts me. I would have wished for a different ending.

"I know that I could have helped the team this season. Nevertheless, I only wish the club and the fans the best for the future", Mane told the journalist ahead of his Al Nassr medical.

Fabrizio Romano this morning revealed that only paper works remain for the deal to be confirmed after Mane passed his medical. "Sadio Mané completed medical tests in Dubai and becomes new Al Nassr player as deal will be signed later today. Documents being prepared, here we go confirmed," Romano tweeted.

Mane was a key player under Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool enjoyed an incredible period of success, winning the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup. The Senegal forward will hope emulate his Liverpool form at Al Nassr, where he will link up with several other players that left European football.

Mane will become the fourth recruit of Al Nassr this season following the likes of French midfielder Seko Fofana, Croat Marcelo Brozovic and Brazil star Alex Telles. The quartet will be among many players leaving European clubs to join the Saudi Pro League this season.
