Sadio Mane Wants Out of Al Nassr And Cristiano Ronaldo Could Be One Reason Behind The Senegal Star’s Decision

In a stunning move, Sadio Mane could be set to switch sides in the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Ittihad reportedly pushing to secure a deal that would see the Senegalese forward leave Al-Nassr after just one season.

Mane, who joined Al-Nassr last year from Bayern Munich, has struggled to live up to expectations, drawing criticism from fans and pundits for his inconsistent attacking performances.

Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo

Despite scoring 19 goals and providing 11 assists in 48 appearances for Al-Nassr, Mane's time in Saudi Arabia has been far from smooth.

Now, just a year after his high-profile move to the Middle East, multiple reports suggest that Mane is on the verge of leaving Al-Nassr to join their rivals, Al-Ittihad.

Although the deal is not yet finalized, the potential transfer has already developed significant interest and speculation.

Al-Ittihad's push to sign Mane is reportedly driven by the desire of their star player, Karim Benzema, who has expressed to the club's management his eagerness to play alongside the former Liverpool forward.

Benzema believes that Mane's addition would significantly bolster Al-Ittihad's chances of challenging for the Saudi Pro League title in the upcoming season.

Mane's possible move between rival clubs has come as a shock to many, especially considering the short time he has spent at Al-Nassr.

According to reports from French publication Foot Mercato, one of the key reasons behind Mane's potential exit is his strained relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Should the transfer go through, Mane would leave behind his partnership with Ronaldo at Al-Nassr to join a formidable Al-Ittihad squad that includes Premier League stars N'Golo Kante, Fabinho, and the recently acquired Moussa Diaby.

The potential move could take the form of either a loan or a permanent transfer, with Al-Ittihad working diligently to finalize the deal.

It will certainly be a big blow to Al Nassr who could see one of their star attackers joining direct rivals to whom they lost the title last season. So as the transfer window progresses, all eyes will be on Saudi Arabia to see whether this unexpected transfer materializes.
