The 14th edition of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship has entered its business stage as the group stages concluded on Wednesday (June 28).
From the initial eight teams who participated in the tournament, only the final four teams remain in the competition as they advance to the knockout stages.

From Group A, hosts India and Kuwait advanced to the semi-finals, whereas Nepal and Pakistan got ousted. Kuwait finished as group winners on the virtue of scoring more goals than India, who qualified for the semifinals as runners-ups.
In Group B, another invited team Lebanon qualified as group winners, as they finished with 9 points after the three group stage games, with a 100 per cent win rate. They were joined by Bangladesh, who finished with 6 points in their three matches.
Bhutan and Maldives are the two teams who were eliminated from Group B.
Pakistan and Bhutan ended up as the teams to return without a single point in the SAFF Championship 2023.
The SAFF Championship 2023 semifinals will be played on Saturday, July 1. The matches will be played at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

It will be a repetition of the recent Intercontinental Cup Final as India take on Lebanon in one of the semi-finals. Bangladesh will be up against Kuwait in another semi-final.

The final of the SAFF Championship 2023 will be on Tuesday, July 4. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST on the day at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
