Mohamed Salah has expressed his surprise at the impact Arne Slot has had since taking over Liverpool from Jurgen Klopp. Slot, who joined from Feyenoord, led Liverpool to a Premier League title in his first season. The Reds secured the championship with a 5-1 victory against Tottenham on April 27. Slot became the fifth manager to win the league in his debut season, excluding the inaugural one.
Slot's achievement places him alongside notable managers like Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Manuel Pellegrini, and Antonio Conte, who also won the league in their first seasons with their respective clubs. Liverpool has averaged 2.34 points per game this season under Slot's leadership, suffering only three league defeats.

Salah admitted to France Football that he did not expect such rapid success. "I didn't expect us to win so quickly," he said. "Who could have predicted that the transition would be successful so quickly? No one, I think." Salah mentioned that during pre-season, Slot approached him to be an example for other players.
Salah has been exceptional this season, scoring 28 goals and providing 18 assists in the Premier League. His goal tally for Liverpool stands at 183, equalling Wayne Rooney's record for Manchester United. Only Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero have scored more goals for a single Premier League club than Salah.
Reflecting on his time under Klopp and now Slot, Salah noted differences between the two managers. "Arne is very direct; he re-established the competitive level," Salah explained. He added that towards the end of Klopp's tenure, they were perhaps too comfortable. Slot and his team are more open to discussions and sharing feelings.
Liverpool is set to face Arsenal in their next Premier League match on Sunday. Salah is just one goal involvement away from matching the all-time record of 47 in a single season held by Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer. He currently has 46 goal involvements this term.
Salah highlighted how these open discussions have positively impacted his performances and contributed to Liverpool's success this season. The Egyptian forward was signed by Klopp in July 2017 and has since become a key player for Liverpool.
Slot's approach has revitalised Liverpool's competitive spirit, leading them to triumph in the league this year. As they prepare for their upcoming match against Arsenal, fans will be eager to see if Salah can break yet another record with his outstanding form this season.
