Jadon Sancho is eager to bring excitement to Chelsea, aiming to follow in the footsteps of his idols Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba. The winger joined Chelsea on a season-long loan from Manchester United, with reports suggesting an obligation to buy for between £20 million and £25 million. This move likely means Sancho will not return to Old Trafford, where he had limited first-team opportunities after a public dispute with head coach Erik ten Hag.
Sancho, who has made 83 appearances for Manchester United, spent the latter part of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund. During his time there, he helped the Bundesliga team reach their third Champions League final. Despite appearing as a substitute in Manchester United's Community Shield defeat against Manchester City, he was not included in the squad for their first two Premier League matches of the new season.

The 24-year-old is thrilled about starting fresh under Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge. "I think it's the manager who really drew me to the project," Sancho said on Chelsea's official website. "He spoke to me on the phone about this project and what he was building here, and for a young player like myself it's exciting, and I can't wait to get started."
Sancho will wear the number 19 shirt at Chelsea and is particularly excited about Maresca's style of play. "I enjoy his style of play. When [the wingers] get on the ball, he loves them to go one versus one and be direct. We play a lot of one-twos with the 10s and the striker combination plays. It's very attractive," he added.
Sancho expressed his admiration for Chelsea legends Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard, stating that playing for the same club as his idols is a great feeling. "Chelsea is iconic. My idols growing up were Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard, and now I have the opportunity to play for this club like them," he said.
The winger is determined to make an impact at Stamford Bridge by showcasing his skills and bringing excitement to the fans. "I'm a skilful player and I want to bring excitement to the Bridge. Hopefully, it will turn out well," Sancho concluded.
Sancho's move marks a significant step in his career as he looks forward to contributing positively under Maresca's guidance at Chelsea.
