Scott McTominay Expresses No Regrets About Leaving Manchester United For Napoli
Scott McTominay has expressed satisfaction with his decision to leave Manchester United for Napoli, following a strong start in Italy. He has netted three goals in 10 matches across all competitions for the Italian side. In Serie A, he has scored twice, contributing to Napoli's top position after 12 games. Only Romelu Lukaku has more league goals for Napoli this season.
McTominay has also created four significant scoring opportunities, converting two of them. Before his transfer on deadline day, McTominay spent 22 years at Manchester United. He joined their academy at age five and debuted in May 2017. The Scotland international played 255 times for the senior team, scoring 29 goals and providing eight assists.

Leaving his childhood club was challenging for McTominay, but he is content with his choice. "Obviously, it's a big decision, there's no denying that," he told The Times. "It was a huge decision for me and my family and my friends." Despite the difficulty, he felt it was the right move.
McTominay remains focused on achieving success in his career and personal development. "I want my career to be successful," he said. "I'm going to go out of my way to try and push myself to be the best football player and best person that I can possibly be."
Reflecting on his time at Manchester United, McTominay had his most productive season in 2023-24 with ten goals. His departure marks a new chapter as he aims to excel both on and off the pitch without looking back or having regrets about past decisions.
