Bengaluru, August 8: Theo Walcott calls his new Arsenal teammate Sead Kolasinac as an 'animal' after the defender helped Arsenal to win their first silverware of the season.

The defender scored his first Gunners goal on his comprtitive debut for the club as they beat London rivals Chelsea 4-1 in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw at regulation time to lift the Community Shield.

The 24-year-old started the match on the bench, however, after Captain Per Mertesacker's head injury, the defender was called upon to take the left center-back role.

The Serbian later headed home a late equalizer following Pedro's red card and also impressed everyone with his defensive and ball playing attributes.

And while talking about the new signing, his new partner Theo Walcott claimed the Bosnia-Herzegovina international is really delightful to watch and he was surprised by his physical traits and hard working attitude.

"Honestly, he is an absolute animal,'' he said of Kolasinac.

"He's incredible. I see him in the gym every day, you can just tell he looks after himself well, he eats the right food and he's professional."

"You can see the power he's got when he's got the ball, his pace and everything. It's beautiful to watch and he's a great addition to the squad."

"Trust me he's not easy to get around [in training] -- he's quite wide as well. He fits perfectly for the Premier League, he's absolutely perfect."

"He's going to show something different, I've seen glimpses of him in preseason and he's going to get fitter, stronger and quicker. This league is the best and I think he could be one of the best in this league.''

The 24-year-old joined the club in June on a free transfer after six years at Schalke and was named in the Bundesliga team of the year last season.

The Bosnian was earlier linked with a move to Arsenal's rival Manchester City at the beginning of the window, however, at last, he opted to join the Gunners.

The defender is now likely to start in Gunner's Premier League opener at the Emirates against Leicester City on Friday (August 11) night.
