Senegal reached the Africa Cup of Nations final again after a controlled 1-0 win over Egypt in Tangier, with Sadio Mane’s precise strike settling a tense semi-final. The result sends Senegal into Sunday’s showpiece against Morocco or Nigeria, while Egypt exit after a flat attacking display.

Mane again proved decisive against Egypt, having scored the winning penalties against the same opposition in both the 2022 AFCON final and that year’s World Cup qualification play-off. This time, the forward beat Mohamed El Shenawy with a crisp half-volley from outside the box in the 78th minute.
